Integration Technologies as the Basis of a Sustainable Enterprise Architecture – Interdependencies between Organization and Information Technology (in German).
Volume 6

Current integration approaches, such as Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) or service oriented architectures (SOA), are intended to make IT architectures more flexible and to orient them more closely to a business’s specific requirements. However, experience shows that this is often not the case in practice.
This book demonstrates how integration technologies can be used to design enterprise architectures. It focuses on a coordinated design for the organizational structures, the business processes and the information systems used. This has proven to be an essential prerequisite for sustainability in enterprise architectures.
Rather than merely putting forward theoretical concepts, this book also presents an architecture tool developed specially for this purpose.
