Marten Schönherr is working for Deutsche Telekom Laboratories (R&D unit of DTAG) leading the project field IT-Architecture & Quality Assurance. As the founder and head of the Competence Center for Enterprise Architecture, Marten Schönherr has been responsible for a wide range of industry-financed research at the Technical University of Berlin (TU Berlin). The research group focused on methods connected to service-oriented architectures, system-interoperability and the sustainability of enterprise architectures.
In the context of this work, Marten Schönherr publishes articles, edits the Enterprise Architecture book series and organizes conferences. In addition to his work in university research and teaching, he has more than eight years’ experience of working independently on selected projects. During the course of writing his dissertation, Marten Schönherr founded a spin-off business in which he was responsible for managerial tasks in the fields of implementing and launching standard software for knowledge and information management. Further to this, Marten Schönherr has been sharing his experience in the area of executive training for many years and has been able to build up a comprehensive international network in research and industry.
